Thriller Night!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had fun trick or treating tonight!
I got to cheer at a fantabulous football game tonight.
Yay me..
But at least we won!
Since it is Halloween, we got
to do our halftime to Thriller, by Michael Jackson.
It was SO fun to learn the
dance!
We wore torn up white shirts and
we painted our faces like Zombies.
This is me and Emily after our halftime,
We get a break third quarter to catch our breath a little.
Tomorrow, I have a cheer clinic from 11-3:30.
and after that I have to cheer for Volleyball!
It's going to be such a busy day.
Honestly, I don't know why I'm still up,
I need sleep.

A Night to Remember!

Last night I went to see High School Musical 3!!! It was SO good! I loved it. I went with a bunch of my friends. It was so funny because before the movie they showed a preview for a movie called "17 Again"

and Alane screamed so loud when she saw that the main character was of course, the hearthrob of the generation, stunning and utterly PERFECT guy who won our hearts in the movie we were waiting to see, Zac Efron. Haha, he is what makes the movie so good! It kind of goes to show how fast high school really goes. Before we know it, we'll all be going off to college!
Besides the movie last night, my poor little Trenton had to go to the hospital because of his croupe. It was not a lot of fun at all. I was really worried about him but he's all good! Hopefully it doesn't get that bad again tonight!

NObama 08"

So I have a friend named Emliy Parry, and we are both strong republicans. Considering that Flagstaff is a democratic city in the majority, we decided to make our opinions known and stand up for our beliefs. On Friday, Emily came over to my house and we made these shirts.

This is the front
and this is the back.
They say... NObama. Yes We Can- raise taxes and make everything cost more. Hope- you can still afford groceries. Change- is all you'll have left in your pocket. At the top of the back it has my last name and underneath it says, If Obama is the answer, you asked a stupid question. Forget the zero, elect a hero. McCain 08". Now once again, considering that Flagstaff is a democratic city in the majority, there was more than a handful of kids at school who strongly disagreed with me when I wore this shirt to school today. It ranged from being pushed into lockers in the school hallway, to being yelled at and called words like "racist". Teachers kept their mouths closed, but only because they had to. Some teachers would discretely try to read my shirt to decide whether or not I should be sent to the office and call a parent to tell them that my shirt was "innappropriate", and other teachers would just stop and stare in the hall. However! I have had almost half as many compliments on my shirt as well! Right now, I currently have at least ten requests from students at school to make them a shirt and I am making them for anyone who wants one. I think that just because we aren't old enough to vote in the elections yet, doesn't mean we should not make our opinions known. We are the future generation of this country and we need to stand up for what we believe in. Don't be afraid of what others may think of you or what they might say. One of my favorite quotes from President Monson that I won't ever forget hearing at EFY is "Dare to be a Mormon, dare to stand alone, dare to have a purpose firm, and dare to make it known." I can literally apply this to my everyday life. Don't let the opinions of others persuade you to believe in something else, and no matter what, always stand up for what you believe.

Long Time... No Post!

(this is Jessica and I. On monday we had a photo shoot in our design and merchandising class and we took this picture.)
Sorry I haven't posted in SO long! I've been so busy. Our semester is almost half over! I've been working really hard on getting good grades, and so far I give myself credit for it because I still have straight A's. Homecoming week was the busiest week of my life! Being on student counsel and cheer is TWICE the responsibility. Every day, we had things to do. Dodgeball tournaments, volleyball games, bonfires, a pep assembly, the homecoming game, and a dance. It was pure insanity. But I'm glad the busiest week of the year is over. Our theme for the dance was GLOW WHITE, and everyone wore white clothing because we had 600-800 watts of black lights in our gym. It was really neat. Now we're moving on to our Winter Formal, which the Sophomores are in charge of. Our theme is going to be Mascarade. It's a lot of fun to get together for student counsel and plan these type of things. For the week of Halloween, we're having a rock band tournament at our school. It's going to be SOOOOO awesome! I can't wait.
band is gonna rock the school! We have Emily Berryhill on the drums, Jane singing, Joe on the bass, and I'm on guitar. We also have Erica as our band manager, and Emily Parry as the groupie/mic stand/fog machine. We're going to dominate! I can't wait for it. My dad's birthday was on Wednesday. He's 37 years old now! He's such a great dad, and the only one I've ever known. He does so much for me and our family. I'm so grateful to have him as my dad. Other than that, not much is new. Winter's on it's way, it gets shorter and colder every day! I can't wait for the snow! Snowbowl, here I come!!
